This is my first ever Top Ten Tuesday and today’s topic is: Top Ten Books Featuring Travel In Some Way (road trips, airplanes, travelogues, anything where there is traveling in the book!)

1. All the Iron Fey Books by Julie Kagawa

Throughout these books Meghan is off on an adventure, travelling through the dangerous Wildwood to save her family, protect her friends, and destroy the evil of the Iron King(s).

2. The Tiger’s Curse Series by Colleen Houlk

Kelsey travels through India and mystic lands to try and find the Gifts of Durga and save her tiger Prince, Ren, from a terrible curse put on him. From the jungles of India to the serenity of Shangri-la and deep into an ancient Underwater world.

3. Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl

Ruth travels the world as she sets off on a path of self discovery through the culture of food. Its a beautiful story filled with actual receipes!

4. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares
Do I even need to explain this series?

5. A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

Another great read about a girl trying to uncover the hidden magical legacy her mother left her, one that takes her away from her life in India and into the streets of London as she tries to discover the secret past of her mother and herself.

6. Timeless by Alexandra Moir

A tragically beautiful story about a girl who can time travel to the past and meet her family and falls in love with her family rival.

7. The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Everything sbout this book makes me cry. Its such a sad, beautiful story about love, sacrifice, and a relationship that lastss through time.

8. Dragonswood by Janet Lee Carey

After being accused of being a witch, a girl and her two friends must leave their homes and venture into the dangerous Dragonswood as they try to escape their fate and travel to find a place of safety.

I still want to read The Time Traveler’s Wife and need to read the Iron Fey and Tiger’s Curse series. Great list!
